| Claim | A masking device (110) for covering a masking area comprising: a first member (112); a second member (114); a third member (116); a base (120) defining a top surface (126) and a continuous bottom surface (128), the bottom surface including an adhesive (167), the bottom surface configured for removable attachment to the masking area; and a pull tab (118) extending away from the top surface of the base, wherein the first member, the second member, and the third member are all integrally formed together; the first member forms an entirety of the pull tab; the second member and the third member form the base; characterized in that the masking device being bent with multiple bends (134, 136) to form a general S-shape; a first bend (136) being disposed between the first member and the second member; and a second bend (134) being disposed between the second member and the third member. The masking device of claim 1, wherein the adhesive is a silicone based adhesive. The masking device of claim 2, wherein the silicone based adhesive has a peel adhesion of 275 to 440 newtons per meter (25 to 40 ounces per inch). The masking device of claim 1, wherein the base is substantially circularly shaped. The masking device of claim 1, wherein the continuous bottom surface is completely flat. The masking device of claim 1, wherein the bottom surface of the base is formed solely by the third member. The masking device of claim 1, wherein the masking device is made from a single piece of tape. The masking device of claim 1, wherein the top surface is provided with a second adhesive (159) in a region where the second member overlaps the third member. The masking device of claim 8, wherein the third member defines the top surface, and wherein the second member also includes the second adhesive to adhere to the second adhesive of the third member. The masking device of claim 8, wherein the second adhesive is stronger, is thicker and/or has a greater peel adhesion than the adhesive.
