Abstract A hybrid structure composed of Ag nanoparticles and graphene sheets has been synthesized by one-pot co-reduction process at room temperature. Compared to the isolated Ag nanoparticles, the presence of graphene enhanced the photoluminescence originating from the plasmon radiative decay of Ag nanoparticles as results of the charge injection and the near-field confinement resulting from the coupled graphene sheets.
