Abstract The Ohio State University (OSU) belongs to a ten-university network operated by the Ohio Aerospace Institute located at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration`s Lewis Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Through this network, courses are taught from campus-based video classrooms to single or multiple locations simultaneously. Audio and visual transmission is two-way, real-time, over T1 telephone lines. Faculty at each location alternate presentations to students on nuclear power plant systems. The curricula includes nuclear engineering and the courses include trips to training simulators located at three power plants.
