Abstract A sensitive spectrophotometric method was used to determine tin in alloys. Tin was extracted from solution with a cyclohexane solution of tris(2- ethylhexyl)phosphine oxide and complexed with Pyrocatechol Violet. Maximum absorbance was measured at 575 m mu . Backwashing removed gallium, antimony, iron, and molybdenum. (auth)
