Abstract This paper continues earlier work on the reduction of the quench pressure in a double-jacketed cable-in-conduit conductor achieved by perforating the inner jacket. The present study examines the effect of the perforations on the stability margin and on the onset of thermal hydraulic quenchback.<<ETX>>
