Abstract Thick-target yields of the following reactions were measured by counting the beta active products: Li/sup 7/(Li/sup 6/,2n)C/sup 11/, Be/sup 9/(Li/sup 6/ ,2n)N/sup 13/, C/sup 12/(Li/sup 6/,n)F/sup 17/, C/sup 12/(L i/sup 7/,n)F/sup 18/, N/sup 14/(Li/sup 6/,He/sup 5/)O/sup 15/, N/sup 14/(Li/sup 6/,d)F/sup 18/, N/sup 14/(Li/sup 7/,t)F/sup 18/, O/sup 16/ s(Li/sup 6/,n)Na/sup 21/, O/sup 16/(Li/sup 6/ ,He/sup 4/)F/sup 18/, F/sup 19/(Li/sup 6/,Li/sup 5/)F/sup 20/, and Na/sup 23/(Li/ sup 6/,Li/sup 5/)Na/sup 2/ s/sup 4/. The reactions F/sup 19/(Li/sup 6/,2p)Ne/sup 23/ and Na/sup 23/(Li/sup 7/,Li/sup 6/)Na/sup 24/ s had too small a yield to permit accurate measurement. All of the yield curves showed a very rapid but smooth increase of yield with energy. Some general rules are given for estimating the yield to be expected for any positive "Q" lithium beam reaction in the energy range under consideration. (auth)
