Abstract This paper presents performance and figures-of-merit of fiber optic interferometric accelerometers and seismometers using flexural disk, mandrel, and fluid filled transducers. Flexural disk devices having sensitivities of 50 radians/g and operating bandwidths to 2 kHz have been reported. This sensitivity corresponds to a minimum detectable signal of 20 nano-g/{radical}Hz for a system demodulation noise floor of 1 micro-radian/{radical}Hz. {copyright} {ital 1996 American Institute of Physics.}
