Abstract For the mobile communication system in the feature, with the improvement of the transmission bandwidth, more and more new services will be developed. And the different kinds of services have different quality demands. In order to increase the convenience of wireless communication, the service range must be broadened. Unfortunately, the transmission range increased, the transmission quality will be worse and worse. We proposed a BHMIPv6 (broader HMIPv6) architecture to broaden the transmission distance and improve the transmission quality. We divided the architecture into three main parts: roaming module, RSVP processing module and quality translation module. Based on these three modules, the transmission quality transparency among different subnetworks will come true. We also design a new border mobility anchor point (BMAP) to handle the roaming registration problems. Finally, we will have an experiment and give some powerful simulation results by OMNet++ simulator to prove our proposed architecture works.
