Abstract In this paper, one kind of subgrid technology using physical connection between different sizes cells is presented. Huygens method, one representation of equivalence principle, is used to solve the problems of filed values on the interface of different size cells. This new technology could solve electromagnetic problems for discontinuous structures. Numerical simulation of EWB structure is implemented.
