Abstract We use the superparticle technique mixed with finite element methods to study the transient and stationary behavior of EHD flows. Calculations show that the technique is suitable to study EHD flows. We have been able to reproduce fairly well the particle distribution and flow pattern for both transient and steady EHD plumes.
