Abstract Vector-analyzing-power angular distributions for deuteron elastic et are compared for /sup 32/S(d,d)/sup 32/S with /sup 32/S(d,/sup 3/He)/sup 31/P, /sup 30/Si(d,t )sup 29/Si, and 13/N at a deuteron lab energy of 15 MeV. The strong similarities between the two angular distributions for each target suggest that an alternative to the distorted-wave Born-approximation description of these direct transfer reactions may be appropriate.
