Abstract A recording colorimeter has been designed and built to make rapid and accurate determinations of light absorption in samples containing 30 cu mm of fluid. The accuracy obtainable with the instrument at a wave length of 4760 A is about 1% at absorbances in the 0.1 region and 0.2% at absorbances in the 0.4 region. Five samples and a blank can be measured and recorded in less than 200 seconds. (auth)
