Abstract Single crystals of Sr{sub 2}TiMnO{sub 6} were grown by optical floating zone technique. Powder X-ray diffraction studies confirmed the single phase nature of the grown crystal. Laue diffraction studies proved the quality of the grown crystal. Neutron diffraction showed no magnetic ordering down to 6 K. Impedance studies showed temperature dependant relaxation which is due to the presence of oxygen vacancies in the grown crystal.
