Abstract Fixed angle dispersion relations for nucleon-nucleon scattering were applied to proton-proton singlet state scattering to determine the pion-nucleon coupling constant f/sup 2/. Low energy p-p scattering fitted only with S/sub 0/ wave phase shifts determined f/sup 2/ = 0.082 which is in good agreement with other determinations. The dependence of f/sup 2/ on parameters introduced in the S/sub 0/ phase shift equations is studied. (C.J.G.)
