Abstract We will sketch the basic concepts and main features of the object-oriented C++ library LiDIA, that is developed by LiDIA group at Universität des Saarlandes and the Technische Hochschule in Darmstadt. We will present in more detail the classes for factoring polynomials over finite fields together with some running times.
