Abstract The ACM Special Interest Group in Computer Science Education (SIGCSE) has long used a double-blind reviewing process for both its annual symposium and ITiCSE conference. However, it is healthy for a community to review its policies and practices periodically to ensure that they continue to meet the needs and objectives of the community. Toward this end, this paper suggests a set of general goals for the SIGCSE reviewing process, identifies a number of important issues, and presents suggestions for resolving these issues.
