Abstract When the design engineer is concerned with accurate prediction of evaporating and condensing temperatures to maintain certain performance criteria such as sensible heat ratio, energy efficiency, etc., a reliable methodology of combining evaporator and condenser coil ratings with compressor characteristics is essential. The procedure described has been utilized by the author for many years. It was converted into a BASIC program when personal computers became available.
