Abstract Solar and terrestrial observations associated with the cosmic-ray storm of February 11, 1958, are discussed relative to North-South anisotropy and the anticipatory increase of intensity. A chronology of events associated with the Forbush Decrease of February 11 is given and the connection between these events is discussed.
