Abstract It is shown that interactions between quantized and unquantized systems do not lead to any dynamical inconsistencies. However, if the equations of motion of the classical system depend on the state of the quantized system, then the latter no longer satisfies a linear dynamical equation. This fact may have implications in the quantization of the gravitational field and in the quantum theory of measurement. (auth)
