Abstract The photodisintegration of polarized single-particle nuclei is considered in the case of circularly polarized photons, and the angular correlation formulas due to the E1-M1 interference are evaluated. Then, the particular case of C/sup 13/ is treated. Numerical calculations show that the E1- M1 interference affects the angular correlations even at low energies, leading to a forward asymmetry in the neutron differential cross-section and to a small distortion of the transversal polarization.
