Abstract The spin-lattice relaxation time T/sub 1/ was measured in liquid He/sup 3/ from 1.l to 3 deg K at its saturated pressure. The results indicated a sharp increase of T/sub 1/ decreasing the temperature below 1.4 deg K. This behavior cannot be accounted for by the Bloembergen, Purcell, and Pound theory. (auth)
