Abstract Conditions are considered for generating Cerenkov X-rays by an electron beam propagating inside a bundle of carbon nanotubes upon synchronisation of the electron movement with one of the slow spatial harmonics of the electromagnetic field of a crystal tube. (cerenkov radiation)
