Abstract The paper presents some aspects of pesticides concentration in the soils from southern part of Pardina polder. Values of pesticide-oncentrations are compared with values valid in case of the normal limit, alert limit and take action limit. These pesticides were introduced into soil because the change in land use (and land cover), the former wetlands being transformed into arable land. Pesticides were currently used in order to obtain higher crop productions, by controlling the development of various wild plants and insects.
