Abstract A molecular field calculation and a nuclear magnetic resonance study of F/sup 19/ in paramagnetic KCoF/sub 3/ are reported. The isotropic hyperfine interaction indicates presence of 0.57% unpaired 2s spins in F/sup -/ orbitals from each Co/sup 2+/ neighbor. The calculations are shown to be in good agreement with the F/sup 19/ resonance data and also the susceptibility data of others. (auth)
