Abstract The conjecture by 't Hooft and Veltman that integral d/sup 2 omega q (q/ sup 2/)/sup lambda 1/ = 0 ( omega , lambda complex), within the context of dimensional regularization, is proven in the case of zero-mass particles for any OMEGA when lambda = 1,2,... and for lambda = 0 in the limit omega yields 2.
