Abstract A greenhouse investigation was conducted to determine the Effect of pendimethalin application on mycorrhizal symbiosis. This research investigation consisted of 24 treatments resulting from factorial combination of two levels of soil solution phosphorus, six levels of pendimethalin and two levels of Glomus aggregatum Inoculation. Mycorrhizal colonization was not affected by application of different level of pendimethalin. Higher level of pendimethlin application was found to be phytotoxic to Leucaena. Total biomass, phosphorus content and total phosphorus uptake increased significantly with VAM inoculation in two level of soil solution P application. The results of this investigation show that the application pendimethalin reduces the effectiveness of V AM fungi in association with Leucaena leucocephala.
