Abstract Dear KV, I know you did a previous article where you listed somebooks to read (Kode Vicious Bugs Out, April 2006). I would alsoconsider adding How to Design Programs, available free onthe Web (http://www.htdp.org/). This book is great for explainingthe process of writing a program. It uses the Scheme language andintroduces FP (functional programming). I think FP could be thefuture of programming. John Backus of the IBM Research Laboratorysuggested this in 1977(http://www.stanford.edu/class/cs242/readings/backus.pdf). EvenMicrosoft has yielded to FP by introducing FP concepts in C# withLINQ (Language Integrated Query). Do you feel FP has a future insoftware development, or are we stuck with our current model oflanguages with increasing features?
