Abstract The debate about personal technology in the classroom rages on. Traditionalist see mobile devices as disruptive technologies, while defendants see them as tools for instruction. Consideration should be given to the benefits mp3s, smart phones, and tablets can deliver inside and outside the classroom. From lecture podcasts to homework help, personal technology can be used to supplement the traditional learning landscape.
