Abstract The legendary Alan Kay and Roy E. Disney have graciouslyappeared on camera for interviews and joined the ACM Computers inEntertainment magazine's editorial board. Alan and Roy are two ofthe nicest people to talk to and work with. Alan talked about softfun versus hard fun, and his research on Squeak for enhancing andamplifying learning in children's education. Disney is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TheWalt Disney Company and chairman of Walt Disney Animation. He beganhis entertainment industry career in 1953, working as an assistantfilm editor on the "Dragnet" TV series. He joined The Walt DisneyCompany in 1954 and served as assistant film editor on motionpictures, including "The Living Desert" and "The Vanishing Prairie"both Academy Award winners. As a writer and production associate,Roy received an Academy Award nomination his work on the shortsubject "Mysteries of the Deep" in 1959.
