Abstract Mr. Dean Wright is Oscar-nominated visual-effects supervisor for "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)." His visual effects filmography includes many Academy Award nominated films and winning movies such as "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)," "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)," "The Sixth Sense (1999)," and "Titanic (1997)." He also worked on the production of "Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)." In the video interview, you will hear Dean's answers to the following questions:1. What were the biggest challenge and the biggest innovation for visual effects on The Chronicles of Narnia?2. How many types of creatures and species were created digitally?3. How did you decide when to use CG versus miniatures to create a visual effect?4. Can you tell us about motion capture that was used extensively on The Chronicles of Narnia?5. How would you compare and contrast the visual effects on The Chronicles of Narnia and some of the other movies (that you worked on) such as The Lord of the Rings?
