Abstract The P/sup 31/(n, alpha )Al/sup 28/ excitation function was measured in the neutron energy range 2.5--5 Mev, using the activation method. The experimental curve shows an oscillating behavior around the average value. In particular, the peak at E/sub n/= 3.75 Mev seems to be correlated with that found in the sigma (n,p) and sigma /sub T/ cross section curves, at the same neutron incoming energy. (auth)
