Abstract A layout of the moving-ring reactor system KARIN-I is presented and blanket and shield structure and plasma parameters are given. A view of the blanket assembly and the single module of shielding and magnet structures of KARIN-I, the scheme of the reactor disassembly, and energy flow in the moving-ring system show the conceptual design of KARIN-I as an interuniversity and joint work with several companies.
