Abstract The following is a listing of several process generators implemented in PL/I. These were adopted from similar programs implemented in SIMSCRIPT II and published in the SIMSCRIPT II implementation manual. The Assembly Language version of the pseudo random number generator was adopted from a listing published in CACM, Feb. 1969. All programs raise a CONDITION (@ERR), if improper arguments are passed. The error conditions and the calling arguments are self explanatory. These routines allow for ten separate streams of random numbers. The seed values are initialized in the routine RANDOM.
