Abstract The relative yield of hadrons involving a b quark (B{sub c}, B{sub s}, B, Ʌ{sub b}, etc.) is studied as a function of the transverse momentum. It is shown that the yields in question exhibit a nontrivial transverse-momentum dependence because of the difference in nonperturbative fragmentation functions and because of the contribution of power-law corrections at low transverse momenta.
