|Abstract||The location of single-particle states was calculated for nuclei with mass numbers from 5 to 240 by the use of reasonably chosen parameters for a single-particle potential. For the determination of the energies and widths of these quasistationary single-particle states the phase was calculated for the elastic scattering of neutrons on nuclei with spin zero. The Wood- Saxon potential parameters were chosen as follows: V/sub o/ = 49.8 Mev, R = 1.24 A/sup 1/2/ Fermis, a == 0.646 Fermis, and kappa = 0.28 (Fermis)/sup 2/. The energy dependences of bound and quasistationary states were determined and plotted as a function of the potential radius, i.e., the parameter X/sub o/. The widths of the quasistationary states were calculated and indicated on the graphs in the following steps: 0 to 100, 100 to 500, and greater than 500 kev. (TTT)|

It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
NDLI is a conglomeration of freely available or institutionally contributed or donated or publisher managed contents. Almost all these contents are hosted and accessed from respective sources.
