Abstract In this paper, an inventory model is developed in which demand is exponentially increasing with time and deterioration is taken non instantaneous. Realistic situation of permissible delay is also taken into consideration. Three different cases have been discussed for different situations. Expressions are obtained for total optimal cost in different situations. Three different algorithms are given to obtain the optimal solution. Cost minimization technique is used to solve the model.
