Abstract Abstract: Seventy-nine accessions of tartary buckwheat were characterized using Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP). The results showed that total of 621 reproducible bands were amplified by 15 pairs of AFLP primers. Unweighted pair-group method arithmetic average (UPGMA) analysis showed that 79 accessions formed 4 clusters with AFLP data. AFLP analysis revealed that all accessions of tartary buckwheat were genetically distinct and possessed high genetic diversity.
