Abstract The thorium isotopes have been produced in the fusionevaporation reaction 164 Dy ( 54 Cr,xn) 218-x Th at SHIP. So far unknown isomeric states located at 1180 and 2181 keV have been found in 213 Th and 214 Th, respectively. They decay via γ-emission with T1/2=(1.24±0.12) µs ( 214 Th) and T1/2=(1.4±0.4) µs ( 213 Th) [1]. The cross-sections for the production of the isotopes
