Abstract Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) is one of user friendly and handy tool available in the hands of the process industries to identifying and eliminating the potential failures in systems, processes and designing. In this FMEA method prioritization of the failure modes are based on Risk Priority Number (RPN). This RPN can be calculated by multiplying the scores of various risk factors and categorized as Severity(S), Occurrence (O) and Detection (D). This RPN method has been criticized for its several limitations. So this paper aims to eliminate the limitations present in the RPN based prioritization by integrating with the Techniques
