Description An important key for mastering software complexity is the recognition that change is an intrinsic property of large software systems. The power of the EROOS method, developed to incorporate this idea in the software development process, is based on three important aspects : --- A combination of behavior modeling with structure modeling : EROOS integrates these two modeling aspects from objectorientation and entity-relationship modeling by combining structure extension with semantics extension of the actions. This results in a modular notation, allowing composition/decomposition of the software model by means of extension and restriction of already defined software components, while not neglecting the encapsulation or information hiding of each structure component. --- Declarativity
