Abstract This report discusses modeling radon concentrations in soils using an approach adopted from signal processing methods, the multichannel spectral estimation. Presented in this paper is a general formulation and the solution of the inverse problem that consists of calculating some parameters as functions of a few different variables. Data from two sites of different gas flow velocity is used to illustrate this method.
