Description This paper provides engineering evaluation for analyzing step and touch potentials near transmission structures. A simplified approach useful for "ball park" estimates is shown along with the explanation of a rigorous approach necessary for a more thorough evaluation. A companion paper provides background information on many of the factors involved.
